Daily Duties at Independent Insurance Agency:
1. Sell a complete line of insurance policies and products to businesses and individuals on behalf of over 50 insurance companies, including, auto, fire, life, property, medical and dental insurance or specialized policies such as flood, farm/crop, and financial products. 2. Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their financial resources and needs, the physical conditions of the person or property to be insured , and to review current exisiting coverage. 3. Call on policyholders and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients. 4. Customize insurance programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks. 5. Calculate premiums and establish payment methods. 6. Perform all administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and handling policy renewals. 7. Development marketing strategies to compete with other competition who market similar insurance products. 8. Work with underwriters to review insurable risks and bind coverage. 9. Handle all claims in a timely matter, and perform al fiduciary tasks as required.
