Daily Duties at Bose Corporation:

As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer and Engineering Supervisor at the Bose Columbia Manufacturing facility, my responsibilities lay in three areas. First, I served as an engineering and cross functional team manager and mentor relative to day to day operations and in the daily Noise Reduction Technology (NRT) production core team and plant management meetings. In these brief morning meetings performance metrics were reviewed from the previous day and managed as appropriate and strategic planning was discussed. Columbia used a tiered management approach with metrics being monitored and controlled at three tiers (the production floor, the cross functional core team and plant management levels.) Action items were identified, assigned and tracked as appropriate at each of these levels to team members including the appropriate engineer and engineering technician. Secondly, I performed as a projects manager to drive continuous improvement and capital projects for the NRT headset production processes in the Columbia facility. Thirdly, I served as the plant manufacturing engineer / project engineering liaison working with the corporate NRT product design team reviewing and ensuring manufacturability and design optimization of new products and then developed and drove the manufacturing process design, equipment procurement, installation and startup in the manufacturing facility.
