Daily Duties at Micro Poise Measurement Systems / Ametek Inc.:

I reported directly to the Engineering department and to the Customer Service department. I worked on Uniformity and Balance testing machines for Auto and light truck tire manufacturing. I worked specifically for the Continental Tire company and was the laison between engineering and the Final Finish departments in all the Continental plants around the world. I was responsible for software and machine control systems in the field and worked directly with the Continental engineering department and MicroPoise Engineering to resolve MicroPoise software and electrical system issues. I would troubleshoot the machine software and electrical systems and report back to the engineering department to coordinate the software/hardware fixes required and then travel to the plants to install and debug the new software updates. I was responsible for training the machine operators and the plant engineers on the use, functionality, and troubleshooting of the software. I also developed the Standard TIGRE program for all MicroPoise Astec Uniformity machines. TiGRE is the tire grading executive program that makes decisions about tire quality based on the client specifications and the tire measurements results. TIGRE is a kind of programming language that is part of the machines core PC program. I maintained program version control for all plants.
