Daily Duties at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney :

Work in collaboration with clients including institutional and high net worth. Conduct credit/risk analysis and exposure to evaluate active permanent credit limits for futures, FX contracts, repos, OTC derivatives, listed options, margin loans, and asset back securities. Use real-time and ongoing analytics, data collection and analysis to evaluate clients' credit limits and collateral requirements. Monitor risk and current exposure for all clients in portfolio. Conduct credit/risk analysis on financial institutions (Banks, Credit Unions and Overseas Banks) which represent about 15% of the portfolio I am assigned. Consult with Lending Directors and Risk Officers in multiple regions to minimize exposure, while contributing to business development objectives. Manage the country risk in Non Reg-T eligible collateral for non-resident clients in Latin America. Monitor activities, trends and changes in the futures industry to take a proactive versus reactive response to problems and opportunities. Establish internal controls and set-up red flags to minimize risk. Facilitate cross-functional teams among all stakeholders to build consensus and support for positive change and shared goals.
