Daily Duties at Bombardier Transportation:

Led the Maintenance and Operation services of the Las Vegas Monorail System. The Monorail operates from 7AM to 2AM on a daily basis. My day would begin by reviewing the activity from the previous day and understanding what if any issues caused train delays, customer dissatisfaction's, or Ridership concerns. In the event that something of a serious nature occurred on the monorail, I would receive a call to address the situation immediately, independent of time of day or day of week. All issues identified, were documented, and reviewed, both for how the system and ridership was impacted and to identify opportunities for improvement on the method of response. Primary interface with the Las Vegas monorail Company in assisting to meet their objectives. I would review the daily performance with the customer in face to face meetings. Additionally, I would ensure that the material requirements of both the monorail trains and the system were met and trains were not being held for work in a waiting material status. On a weekly basis, Inventory utilization was reviewed to ensure stock levels were appropriate and non-use items were placed under watch for disposition in the event that demand did not justify having the material on-hand in Las Vegas. Bi monthly review of the P&L ensuring we were tracking at budget or to the positive. Monthly Reviews of the P&L with Bombardier senior management. Daily walk the shop, visiting with our team members for their input on issues or potential areas of opportunity. The Commercial side of the position were to promote the benefits of the Monorail and champion the efforts in Las Vegas to expand the system. Responsible for budget, staffing levels, and operations and providing enhanced value to the customer while performing the services on budget with targeted revenues for Bombardier Transportation.
