Daily Duties at American West Bank:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Assist Community Banking Center’s Director in working and restructuring problem credits. Set up “fail safe” control mechanisms to mitigate loss exposure, and maintains continuous “pressure” on the borrowers to adhere to an established repayment program. • Familiarity with Security Agreements, Deeds of Trust, UCC filings and Promissory Notes. • Maintains professional communicative skills in dealing with loan customers, various outside professionals and bank personnel of all levels. • Ensures proper documentation to secure collateral. • Negotiates with troubled loans in restructuring loans and workouts. • Manages ORE properties to maintain value. • Negotiate sale of repossessed collateral and other properties. • Review and restructure credit and repayment terms, obtain additional collateral or otherwise establish resource to other borrower assets in order to minimize risk to the bank. • Analyze charged off loans and determine the most effective method of maximizing recovery. • Establish and monitor adherence to terms of repayment agreements. • Other duties as assigned by Community Banking Center Director and other senior management. • Have the knowledge and expertise to skip trace debtors. • Maintain expert knowledge in Fedeal, State and Local Collection and Bankruptcy Laws for states in which the Bank does business as pertaining to retail and commercial collection activities. • Responsible for review and collection of a select troubled loan. Work on a daily basis to resolve troubled loans which include the following: 1. Reviews and assesses all credit and collateral files of troubled loans as assigned. 2. Initiate contacts with customers by letters, telephone or in person to arrange a meeting to discuss disposition of the loan. 3. Communicate with other financial institutions and credit reporting agencies regarding credit and skip information. 4. Obtains supporting documentation for court suits and bankruptcies. Recommends appropriate litigation method to management when suit is necessary. 5. Obtain appraisals or appropriate evaluation on collateral held by the bank on troubled loans. 6. Works with attorneys on accounts requiring legal action. Responsible for obtaining updated information regarding suit actions, sheriff’s services, bankruptcy proceedings, judgments, etc. 7. Audits and recommends approval of all bills generated by attorneys and other outsourced professionals to ensure accuracy. 8. Compiles necessary data including borrower’s financial information, collateral values, etc. to estimate potential loss in liquidation/litigation. 9. Monitors borrower performance and compiles necessary data including borrower’s financial information, collateral values, etc. to recommend upgrades or downgrades in QAR and accrual status. 10. Recommend Charge Off Requests.
