Daily Duties at Met Life:
Finance Manager – MetLife International Finance – FP&A, (2009-2012) • Promoted to join the newly created International FP&A team and work with the CFO to set up the groundwork for MetLife’s International expansion. Utilized Hyperion systems, and worked across functions to set up the executive reports that analyzed variances for all product sales, revenues, expenses, and profit of the 60 countries following Alico’s acquisition. Tracked key ratios and analyzed Exchange rate impact. • Engaged with country managers to prepare monthly/quarterly control metric packs for review meetings that analyzed the plan, forecast and actual financial results; visited the countries and discussed results with country management; prepared and presented PowerPoint presentations for CFO and Investor Day meetings. Finance Manager – MetLife Corporate Finance – Financial Control and Asset Management, (2006-2009) • Prepared and analyzed monthly and quarterly plans, projections and actual results of all MetLife businesses and products, prepared executive PowerPoint presentations for the CFO group and the Board. • Engaged with business managers from a variety of MetLife functions like Treasury, Actuarial, Product and Controller, and utilized Hyperion to provide actual, plan, projections and KPI variance analysis, prepared PowerPoint presentations to present the results to senior managers and CFOs within the organization. • Managed 3 interns to incorporate Asset Management data and prepare investment income projection analysis for all lines of business, analyzed asset variances and presented results to Executives. • In charge of executive reporting for all lines of business. Strategic Planning Manager – MetLife Strategic Planning and Retirement Strategies Group, (2005-2006) • Member of MetLife - McKinsey Retirement Strategies team, analyzed the retirement marketplace and helped drive the direction of MetLife’s retirement business. • Initiated the competitive retirement marketplace analysis, worked with leaders and researched MetLife’s current approach, compared it with the competitors' and presented to business leaders. • Worked closely with stakeholders to prepare competitive and in-house analysis that helped shape the content for the Executive meeting that initiated MetLife’s retirement strategy.
