Daily Duties at University Of Colorado Health Sciences Center Dept Of Pathology:
• Supervisor of Surgical Pathology Gross Room, Autopsy, and two Frozen Section rooms including maintenance to CAP standards for 27,000 surgical specimens and 180 autopsies performed annually • Hired, evaluated, motivated and resolved personnel issues of three technicians and one student worker • Oriented and trained residents and technicians in gross tissue examination • Worked with attending physicians, clinical managers and senior management to resolve issues related to patient care and clinical operations • Implemented evolving protocols, in response to a continual move to a new facility including logistics management, coordination and communication with other departments, updating and contributing to construction plans and daily maintenance of a split facility
