Daily Duties at Techwise:
Assess current capabilities and prepare a report with recommendations to improve the communications capabilities of the United Arab Emirates Presidential Guard and subordinate units. - I consulted with the G6 HQ staff section for Communications and Internet Technologies to assess current capabilities of Presidential Guard subordinate units. This was accomplished by interviewing communications personnel at all levels and visiting with each major subordinate unit to observe operations and procedures gaining first-hand understanding of current capabilities, techniques and procedures based on observing training, checking current inventories of equipment, replacement parts and, standard operating procedures Managed and maintained the program's IT network devices of Windows server 2008R2, the program's database and client computers and printers.scanners; - Created and implemented the network security plan and advised Program Manager on procedures to increase overall network security by the additional of multi-level anti-virus plan to find and defeat viruses before user computers could be infected - stand alone computers were setup with current and pro-active anti-virus programs so that users insert thumb drives with program data obtained in the field to be scanned for viruses and, if detected, would be cleaned prior to transferring user files to desktop computers. - provided help desk functions for the program.
