Daily Duties at Accredo Specialty Pharmacy:
Review prescriptions for all required elements, accuracy of prescribing and profiling accuracy of technicians. Request corrections as needed including contacting prescriber for additional information. Review drug interactions and contraindications and contact prescriber as needed. Complete processing of prescriptions for transmission to Distribution. Provide counseling to patients/family members regarding possible drug interactions, side effects, dosage , administration and proper medication storage. Be up to date on all policies and procedures. Resolve DUR issues for Clearance team to complete prescription processing.
