Daily Duties at Chenega Federal Systems / Vse :
Manage 50 acquisition professionals while serving as overall acquisition task/monitor and Program Director for the Rapid Equipping Force. Oversee portfolio of ~300 projects valued at $300M. Serve as technical authority to conduct large scale business and technical evaluations of contracts that identify/recommend solutions to problems affecting REF program. Acquire, manage, and deliver international solutions developed in or delivered beyond US borders in collaboration with NATO partners. • Oversee planning, development, implementation, and compliance of acquisition program with regulations and standards • Direct globally distributed integrated product teams comprised of government, business, and non-profit stakeholders • Develop contract vehicles/strategies to streamline the procurement process; maintain awareness of procurement trends • Advise stakeholders on procuring required resources and services to meet minimum needs of government projects • Manage more than 300 products and projects in support of the REF; provide acquisition oversight for selected portfolios • Develop acquisition, contracting, testing, sustainment, and transition strategies for the REF acquisition team • Create project management plans for international products that reflect current trade policy and international agreements • Coordinate with logistics partners to develop and execute optimized equipment maintenance/replacement strategies • Work closely with Army Test and Evaluation Control and other test agencies to facilitate safety and performance testing • Spearheaded initial REF efforts in five new areas of operation – Bahrain, Italy, Jordan, South Korea, and the UK • Developed and executed the REF’s first international test event in collaboration with the UK’s Ministry of Defense • Developed partnerships with federal agencies including Department of State, Department of Commerce, Department of Homeland Security, National Institute of Standards and Technology, National Institute of Health, and the FCC • Received corporate Impact Award for excellent performance
