Daily Duties at Chi Health:
The Director of Education is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of education programs in support of the Mission, Strategic Plan, and Critical Success Factors of Good Samaritan Hospital. Works collaboratively with physicians, nursing, all health care providers, the patients and their families, and the community both in Kearney and the surrounding region to deliver excellence in the quality of education. Maintains the conference center with most current resources available to meet the needs of the customers. Maintains professional library with most current technology and resources. Principal Duties and Responsibilities 1. Plans or assists with strategic direction and development of comprehensive educational programs for system and referral areas. Ensures current and future programs are integrated with the mission, critical success factors, the competitive advantage key initiatives, and all regulatory and accreditation standards that affect the Hospital. 2. Analyzes and develops budgets and financial targets for Educational Department and programs. Integrates critical success factors and the cost advantage initiatives to ensure financial targets are achieved. 3. Monitors and continually improves customer satisfaction levels for both internal and external clients. 4. Seeks out and forges alliances that benefit the systems and people. Provides consultation to executive management to assist with decision making. 5. Ensures delivery of high quality care through active participation and development of a quality management plan and compliance with appropriate regulatory and accrediting agencies. 6. Promotes organizational mission and values in departmental activities and decision-making process. Develops and/or participates in activities that promote and advance community health. 7. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
