Rig Net/Chevron Work Values

Daily Duties at Rig Net/Chevron:

Perform local and long distance network analyses to ensure cost savings and network optimization. Facilitate department improvements through analysis and recommendation of processes and policies. Defined plans, problems, and resolutions and provided detailed reports to applicable management. Provided support for telecom issues originating and escalated from Help Desk. Audited and managed telecommunication invoices and resolved billing issues with telecom vendors. Coordinate and maintain maintenance agreements and service contracts with integral telephone systems. Coordinate all telecomm projects to come in under budget and on time. Work with Engineers on various projects to make sure they are done in a timely manner. Troubleshoot and fix Wimax 3.6 and 700 MHz, Motorola WARs (Wide Area Radio) Sky tracker GPS, internet and phone packages, internet and radio remotes. Program and configure Cisco routers for deployment. Track daily problems using Solar winds. Work with Cap Rock and Inmarsat NOC to fix Satellite issues. Work Service Center as the first line of problem solving. Build tickets and dispatch technicians with needed. Utilizing and complying with all security measures through Chevron's IT infrastructure, Maintain all SCADA devices by monitoring through Solar winds and programming all deployed devices. Led integrated BI solution project teams with fiscal budgets totaling $31 Million dollars. Designed, documented and executed maintenance procedures, including system upgrades, patch management and system backups. Developed and maintained accurate network documentation and Visio diagrams to provide management with proper understanding of organizational needs. Investigated department processes and facilitated company becoming ISO9000-qualified. Developed IT strategic vision and drove key departmental objectives. Streamlined acquisition of reporting requirements and specifications to disseminate across multiple business lines and IT support teams. Worked with clients to analyze computing and network needs and installed appropriate solutions within each organization's budget
