Assumed a key leadership position building a team dedicated to achieving advancements in urological cancer research; hired, trained, and developed skilled scientists and technicians to execute a full spectrum of laboratory functions, producing work that qualified for publication and the acquisition of research grants. Engaged in extensive research into to the loss of function of the tumor suppressor genes: the TERE1 (UBIAD1) prenyltransferase, and BAP1, an epigenetic regulator of chromatin, publishing five papers and securing two research grants; developed a foundation of knowledge towards the development of new targeted cancer therapies.
