Daily Duties at Sanford Health Roger Maris Cancer Center:
Retail staff pharmacist: efficient adjudication of pharmacy claims, administration of vaccinations, CPR certification, skilled counselling for medications, advice regarding OTC and herbal products, specialized dispensing of oral chemotherapy medications Chemotherapy staff pharmacist: upheld 797 clean room standards to ensure accurate sterile preparation of chemotherapy and IV medications, maintained investigational study protocol records and inventory for ECOG, NCCTG, CALGB, and industry sponsored studies, supervised pharmacy technicians in chemotherapy and IV preparation via DoseEdge, mentored pharmacy students on rotation from NDSU, educated nursing and physician staff, when requested, on new pharmaceutical products or clinical questions. Hemophilia Treatment Center Pharmacist: In charge of inventory procurement and control in both Roger Maris and Sanford Hospital locations, supplied filled prescriptions and supplies to HTC patients throughout the state of ND and parts of MN, fielded emergency cases for hemophilia patients to ensure treatment via quick insurance verification and factor dispensing.
