Daily Duties at Giant Food:

As an employee, I utilized Giant's computerized-assisted ordering program to perform daily inventory of the on-site warehouse and the sales floor, re-ordering necessary products and supplies. I also received daily shipments and stored them in the warehouse in compliance with company policy. I used Microsoft Office products to prepare expense reports detailing quantities ordered, comparison of sales figures and products lost to damaged and poor quality vs. last year's to-date figures. I assisted customers with their request for information about products, services, and special order placement. I followed Occupational Safety & Health Administration(OSHA) and Food & Drug Administration(FDA) regulations regarding workplace safety and food regulation guidelines. I also trained new employees on how to efficiently perform their required duties according to company policy.

What they like about Giant Food:

You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.
