Daily Duties at Union Pacific Railroad:

• Manage the development and maintenance of all systems relating to the Customer Order Process and Premium and Penalty Billing. • Developed Private Empty Car Storage System. The system exceeded its 1 year revenue stream in the first 3 months of operation with an annual billing of ~$20 million. • Implemented Intermodal Storage Accessorial System to handle storage cycles on intermodal containers in rail yards waiting for customer pick-up. • Developed Generic Billing Accessorial System to billing of miscellaneous charges for customers not covered under existing systems but not large enough to warrant a full event tracking and billing system (i.e. less than $100K in revenue annually). • Took leadership of team of 16 developers, 11 onshore and 5 offshore, and handling over $120 million in revenue annually. • Implemented test driven processes in a project with 0 unit tests to a point of over 700+ unit tests. • Developed the Web Problem Resolution (WPR) system within Siebel application. • Provided maintenance support for WPR from inception and worked daily with the NCSC to locate critical points of improvement. • Continuously improved processes to provide greater performance and simplify training of new personal on the WPR system. • Assisted in development of Mainframe/WPR interfaces via TIBCO. • Assisted in developing methodologies and web interfaces allowing customers to input problem issues via the Internet. • Developed an upgrade plan to migrate the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to a more stable environment. This allows for reduced maintenance costs, improved performance, disaster recovery, and quicker development time. • Worked with Mechanical Department to develop a interface to improve timeliness of critical car repairs.
