Advised human resources executives on best practices for establishing and administering company policies in compliance with federal state and local labor and employment laws. Represented clients in court and before administrative boards in cases of alleged discrimination and/or harassment on the basis of protected characteristics, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and unfair labor practices. Participated in union avoidance campaigns and contract negotiations. Drafted company handbooks, employment agreements, corrective action and performance improvement plans, ADEA/OWBPA waivers, and a Strike Plan. Engaged in all aspects of discovery, including requesting and responding to requests for production of documents, interrogatories, and depositions.
