Daily Duties at Vitamin Cottage Natural Grocers:

• Drives revenue growth of the facility by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate in-stock inventory levels, creating budgets and forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs. • Develops and implements action plans to correct quality assurance deficiencies. • Provides direction and guidance on executing company programs, strategic initiatives, facility operations, merchandising, and company direction. • Propels and guides the financial performance of the facility by ensuring that sales and profit goals are achieved by controlling expenses to ensure they are indexed to sales. • Analyzes and interprets reports to develop and implement correction plans for any deficiencies in financial performance in the facility. • Models, enforces, and provides direction and guidance to hourly associates and managers on proper customer service approaches and techniques to ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved within company guidelines and standards. • Provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly associates in the facility by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties providing recognition, holding accountable, ensuring diversity awareness. • Upholds the company's open door policy by meeting with associates and listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies and procedures then providing resolutions. • Oversees associate completion of computer based learning modules in a timely manner to ensure they are properly trained. • Completes audits of personnel files to ensure proper documentation is enclosed and completed correctly. • Implementing, monitoring and maintaining quality assurance standards and asset protection while overseeing safety controls and operational reviews. • Sponsors the safety team by giving guidance on how to get topics to other associates, addressing safety concerns, and by helping create an atmosphere of safe work practices. • Initiates, directs, and participates in community outreach programs. • Encourages and supports associates and managers in serving as good members of the community by championing company-sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts to associates, customers, and the local community in order to emphasize the facility as part of the community. • Establish and maintains relationships with key individuals or groups in the community as the representative for the company and presenting the company’s perspective while following the company’s media guidelines.
