Daily Duties at Meds Direct Rx:

Developed and directed the execution of strategic guidelines for regional IT action plans. Managed secure communications platform and ensured operational efficiency of mission critical information technologies. Supervised and delegated assignments among 3-member technical team, monitoring tasks and timelines providing leadership and framework to actively identify IT needs and respond to critical issues. Point person interacting directly with VP of Operations, COO, and CFO in all activities related to network and data security, system maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and problem solving. • Management of information systems infrastructure for eight offices across four states and Puerto Rico along with maintaining support levels for 180 users. • Complete build out of information systems infrastructure for two new facilities in California and one in Puerto Rico. The build out included the installation of new network infrastructure utilizing cat 6 cables, installation of cabling racks, network switches, network security equipment, secure wireless network capabilities, domain controller, Nas device, workstations, and printing equipment. Additional equipment included HD DVR’s with HD cameras to cover all areas of the facilities, and the integration of access control systems. Final tasks included the addition of VoIP phones systems, along with redundant Internet connections at each new facility. • Managed data security project that including the integration of Cisco Meraki Firewalls at all facilities including the configuration of IPSec site-to-site VPN Tunnels from all remote offices to our data center in Florida. • Managed project related to the implementation of Disaster Recovery measures that included setting up a colocation site in New York for our data center in Florida, and implementing Barracuda backup devices in Florida and New York with active data replication. • Developed data security policies in order to control access to data for specific user groups. Integration of remote offices in Active Directory in order to have greater control of permissions to network resources and corporate information. Additional security measures included the implementation of a console based anti-virus system for all workstations and servers in the company along with a cloud based scanning engine for inbound and outbound email messages from our local Exchange Server.
