Daily Duties at Verralia:
• Support and implement improvements by providing methods of evaluation, tracking and measuring results. o Facilitated 3-5 projects with teams of 5-6 to achieve 1% of manufacturing cost in savings per year. • Develop Metrics and analysis systems to aid in plant decision-making process. o Using SAP Business Warehouse, found gaps in our process and developed Pareto to show which projects should be run. • Lead cross-functional teams in major loss reductions activities using improvement methodology and data analysis. PDCA and DMAIC methods. o Measured each team using a toll gate method for each stage of the DMAIC process. • Train, educate and support plant personnel in methods of information and data gathering, analysis, process control and improvement methods, including Plan-Do-Check-Act, DMAIC Root cause analysis, 5-why etc. o Trained some 40 salary employees, and 20 non salary employees on the above. • Completed cross functional 5S audits in North America at sister plants. • Recertified by running a Green Belt project that took the worst warehouse in the SOA to one of the best by metric results. o Took the warehouse from 70% on time delivery to 99% on time delivery after running project and sustained for two years. • Completed my BB test and presentation. o Passed with a 90% the first time. • Pulled data daily to support the management team.
