Key Accomplishments • Built highly reputable company from ground-up to become one of approximately 98 agencies accredited by U.S. Department of Labor under 29 CFR Part 1919 to inspect, test, and issue certification documents / paperwork where required on short-based material-handling devices and floating cranes and derricks under OSHA Maritime Safety regulations. • Established strong client base by understanding liability / exposure issues that occur with incomplete or improper inspections; produced detailed inspection reports that emphasize structural, mechanical, and compliance issues. • Recognized for subject matter expertise and sterling reputation within industry by earning opportunity to serve on small delegation of professionals from U.S. Technical Advisory Group within ISO, Technical Committee for Cranes TC96 committee to interface with other international safety delegates to discuss formulation of crane safety guidelines. • Provided leadership roles within industry, serving as chairman of ISO/TC 96 SC5 committee for Use, Operation, and Maintenance and as alternate voting member of ANSI B30.2 committee for writing industry safety standards for Overhead and Gantry Cranes (Top Running Bridge, Single or Multiple Girder, and Top Running Trolley Hoist). Served as past chairman of ISO/TC 96 SC 9 committee for Bridge & Gantry Cranes. • Collaborated with OSHA Training office in Chicago, Illinois over 15-year time period as approved trainer; directly involved in training OSHA compliance officers nationwide with focus on enhancing understanding of OSHA 1910 Standard with regard to mobile and overhead cranes.
