Daily Duties at American Lighting:

Defined and created an Asset Management System that effectively tracked all inventory of hardware and software. Defined and created a company wide disaster recovery plan. Coordinated monthly warehouse meeting in English and Spanish, and weekly one on one (optional) meeting with every warehouse employee. In addition, maintain vendor management with various vendors both technical and operational. Set-up and maintained company wide wireless connections streamlining operations.Managed and Maintained the company’s technology infrastructure consisting of 50+ users with 11 servers running Windows XP, Exchange Server and Mac OS X (1), plus AS/400, Internet, DHCP, VPN and EDI. Experience with systems administration, web server administration, firewall/security, graphics-based support i.e. Auto Cad, data modification (AS 400), logistical maintenance (UPC/SKU knowledge), user/desktop support, system backups, project management, vendor management, and negotiation of all service contracts. • Consolidated 11 old servers into three new restructured the DNS Servers with Active Directory and Group Policies, set-up security procedures, and back-ups. Also created a new 2003 Exchange server. • Implemented a wireless Barcode equipment and application for the warehouse. (Spectrum / AS/400). • Maintained the Avaya telephone system.
