Daily Duties at Pentegra Retirement Services:

 Collaborates with Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of DCS on strategic planning, leadership and identifying opportunities to improve performance and determine strategic operational direction  Motivates associate teams to achieve strategic and operational goals through effective communication, leadership and change management while fostering a culture of service excellence  Translates operational business strategy into workable plans / projects for team execution while setting clear direction, processes, resource allocation and accountabilities  Using experience and detailed planning, maintains appropriate staffing level; anticipates and addresses resource needs appropriately and defines key accountabilities for the team(s)  Sets the agenda for and manages the Plan Compliance team and Administrative Support team; conducts performance planning and management  Proactively establishes and implements service, quality and productivity initiatives for continuous improvement  Identifies training needs and facilitates the delivery of appropriate training  Implements strategies to develop process, procedures and controls to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of operations  Forms and manages strong working relationships with peers, senior managers, internal and external market contacts  Participates as a key decision maker on enterprise projects and initiatives affecting the long term growth plan for the Plan Compliance team  Trains, develops and counsels personnel  Key involvement with due diligence review and integration of TPA Firms acquired by the organization  Responsible for the creation and implementation of a fully dedicated ERISA Compliance Department, which included building a team and developing departmental practices and procedures  Developed a marketable compliance product/service that generated significant revenue for the organization which included the creation of a proprietary compliance testing system with our internal IT department that proved to be a more efficient and the design of the compliance test report package and exhibits that exceed industry standard  Manage a staff of Compliance Analysts whose responsibilities include consulting and preparing all Defined Contribution plan related non-discrimination tests for a client base of over 600 plans, annual safe harbor notices, 401(a)(4) testing, 410(b) coverage testing, and combined top heavy testing which generated approximately $875,000 in recurring revenue for the organization  Assumed responsibility of the Administrative Support staff of 6 individuals and successfully streamlined their processes which resulted in significant time and cost savings to the organization  Manage the 3(16) Services team to insure the organization meets all fiduciary responsibilities across all company locations  Manage the 408(b)(2) and 404(a)5 Fee Disclosure Notice process and distribution to plan sponsors and participants  Chairperson of a Task Force of 10 senior staff members who reviewed our internal client database structure and made recommendations to improve the overall structure and to improve efficiency  Elected to IT Task Force, which reviews company project requests with system capabilities and makes suggestions to fulfill the needs of the organization  Elected to several other ad-hoc committees to create or improve processes within the organization  Member of the in-house “Ask the Experts” team for clients to call upon for inquiries related to the Compliance practice
