Daily Duties at International Paper:
Manage 320K square feet of space including 24 loading docks, 10 rail docks, finished roll storage, pallet storage and roll/carton conveyors. Communicated with truck operators and traffic clerks regarding load issues, live loads and product availability. Scanned and entered data into the company computer system; used to determine optimal loading procedures and inspect for load quality/securement methods; became a subject matter expert (SME) in this area. Established an off-site warehouse; evaluated operational plan, compared existing resources against requirements, determined optimal space usage plans, supervised storage setup and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); new facility opened on time and in keeping with operational budget. Selected to deliver comprehensive Load Quality Certification and Securing Procedures training to personnel; reviewed regulatory and compliance standards, developed supplementary course materials/documents, instructed personnel, preparation of testing site and completion of retesting as needed; all trained personnel earned full certification upon completion.
