Daily Duties at American Pool Enterprises:
• Mechanical o Plumbing work with PVC schedule 40 & schedule 80 work o Wiring pool pumps o Chemical control units o Tile work o Pool heater troubleshooting. • Managerial o Directly manages 4 to 5 area supervisors o Manages region consisting of 40+ commercial accounts o Manages 100+ staff consisting of Lifeguards, pool managers, porters, gate personnel, summer maintenance team, winter closing team. • Training o Directly recruit, hire and train maintenance team, area supervisors & pool managers. o Teaches supervisor team to conduct onsite training of lifeguard, pool management, porter and gate guard staff. o I attend bi-yearly trade shows for continuing education in the field. o Attained CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification. • Finances o Finished the past two fiscal years with 1.6% in receivables. o Maintained an average profit margin of 17% per management contract. o Issued credit of service down by 22% in past 3 years under my management o Managing P&L statements for region. o Managed audits of staff and inventory. o Addressed nonpayment accounts, maintaining receivables at an all-time low. o Managed payroll of supervision and maintenance staff. • Sales o Increased sales from 452k in 2013, to 567k in 2014. o Increased number of management accounts by 22% in two years. o “Add-on” (Additional products, construction work, etc.) sales up 15% from 2013 to 2014. • Operations o I create framework of entire season consisting of when preseason operations will commence, when returning employees will be contacted, when summer operations will commence, etc. o Conduct safety training of supervisory staff. o Adhering to NYS Bather Code. o Adhering to NYS Health Code & OSHA Regulations o Create framework of day to day operation of supervisors who manage bulk of staff. o Hold weekly meetings with supervision staff throughout the season to discuss issues, further training, and changes needed to be implemented. o Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. o Responsible for maintaining relationship with vendors who include Enterprise, Home Depot, Harbor Freight, Sunbelt Rentals.
