Daily Duties at American Cancer Society:
• Oversaw the strategic direction and implementation of Special Events for the division, • Provided leadership for special events department to determine strategies and goals for all special events • Communicated Special Event priorities to field and field leadership on an ongoing basis • Collaborated with other departments to ensure successful cross promotion of appropriate activities at special events • Development and implementation of training for special events • Responsible for Coaching and development of Making Strides Director and Distinguished Events Director • Achieved a 20% increase in Special Event income during 3 years, growing Special Event income from $5.9 million to $7 million, with addition of 9 Making Strides Events • Developed structure, roles, and responsibilities for Special Events Department • Facilitated roll out of Greater Giving Software for Gala events in Division
