Daily Duties at Outerwall :

Managed the Direct Materials group and activities in producing all Redbox, Coinstar & Coinstar Exchange kiosk builds and spare parts for 70k kiosk Install Base • Managed the Directed Sourcing initiative bringing 71% of Coinstar and 61% of the Redbox CBOM under Manufacturing and Supply Contracts • Drove annualized savings of $4.7m through continuous improvement, innovation and negotiation • Program Managed Redbox VMZ Deck Initiative cross functionally within Coinstar/Redbox as well as Flextronics SCM and Engineering o Retrofitted an 8th DVD deck holding up to 90 DVDs to all 47k Redbox kiosks, increasing capacity from 630 to 720 DVDs • Through the elimination of non-value added processes reduced manufacturing response time to Order from 21 weeks to 13 • Through Velocity focused improvements, increased daily production of Redbox Kiosks from 30 to 55 per day in 8 weeks o Orchestrated tier 2 and 3 supplier activities to support daily deliveries from 30 to 55 sets of materials o Worked directly with the Kiosk sheet metal supplier to add a full third shift to meet added demand o Added a third shift at our Contract Manufacturer and redistributed process steps to reduce takt time from 30 to 25 minutes per kiosk
