Daily Duties at Doctor's Choice Pharmacy:

In addition to marketing events procured individually or combined with the marketer, prepared & presented topics of interest & practical use in Long Term Care Facilities including Medication Therapy Review. If applicable, carried over with appropriate, timely medication updates, which were explained & delivered to the patient, caregiver or physician. Coordinate with patient, physician & insurance provider, current & correct therapeutic regimens with accompanying drug-drug, drug-food & OTC counseling as deemed necessary. Managed & controlled drug inventory which involved several wholesalers after Company lost primary including submitting history of narcotic use & inspectors. Company expectations entailed obtaining the least costly alternatives by comparing multiple wholesalers as well as physically calling other locations. Upon receipt, the drug cost had to be calculated, manually entered into the System, and processed for sale in either blister packs or bottles with total inventory kept at the lowest possible operating dollar amount. Organization of the inventory including preparing out-dates for return,ordering & maintaining Pharmacy supplies, coordination software updates & office equipment purchases as well as actual building maintenance requirements/repairs. Maintained CQI Manual, technician write-ups, Policies & Procedure Manuel, perpetual narcotic inventory & CSOS ordering.
