Daily Duties at Vanguard Contractors:
Responsibilities include oversight of new 37,000 square foot, Border Patrol Station at Fort Hancock, Texas, over site of new automated access gates at Fort Bliss, Texas and Check Point Upgrades for the Department of Homeland Security in Texas and New Mexico. Planed, organized and staffed key field positions through regional department heads. Established project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy. Initiated and maintained liaison with United States Corps of Engineers and A/E contacts, to facilitate construction activities. Monitored/controlled construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent, Quality Control Management, Safety Management and Administrative personnel to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigated potentially serious situations and implemented corrective measures. Represented company in project meetings, assisted in labor negotiations/strategy meetings, etc. Managed financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client.
