Daily Duties at Northwestern Hospital :

• Competently producing academic material utilizing PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets, and journal readings and presenting to department members at Journal Club meetings and physics lectures • Coordinating schedules to meet coverage needs at Northwestern and Lake Forest Hospital • Responsible for billing and actively liaising with medical suppliers for material orders • Orchestrating projects throughout the entire Radiation Oncology department • Actively collaborating with cross-functional teams in the facility in addition to undertaking peer reviews • Strategically facilitating and monitoring project expenses to budget constraints for the fiscal year • Capably purchasing and maintaining tools/stock for block room and personal protective equipment • Developing and implementing extensive Quality Assurance programs • Actively utilizing Pinnacle treatment planning system versions 9.0, 9.2, and 9.6 to implement treatment on Elekta Axesse, Synergy, Infinity, and Varian Clinac IX linear accelerators • Utilizing CMS Xio and Monaco beta site with latest software updates • Competently undertaking Clarity Soft Tissue Visualization. • Proficiently utilizing Mosaiq for evaluating, recording and system verification • Authenticating MU calculations with RadCalc for the accurate delivery of treatment • Generating contours and beam arrangements in the GE Advantage Workstation for treatment planning • Producing optimal 2D/3D conformal, IMRT and electron treatments • Proficiently identifying and contouring critical anatomical structures • Expertly fusing treatment planning utilizing CT/CT, PET/CT, and MRI/CT. • Designing treatment aids such as Cerrobend photon blocks, electron blocks, and MLCs based on the most effective treatment plan requirements
