Daily Duties at Clark County Courts:

Marshal: Category one Nevada Peace Officers' Standards and Training (POST) certified peace officer. Monitor Family Court campus to ensure safety and security of staff and citizens. Respond to emergencies and requests for assistance. Take emergency action when warranted, and administer basic first aid or CPR if required. Conduct investigations as necessary or upon reasonable request. Consider totality of circumstances and effect arrest when appropriate. Monitors scanning equipment at point of entry, Execute warrants of arrest as assigned by the court. As a POST certified instructor, Develop training material and engage officers and students in appropriate class environment; ensure training material is comprehended by class attendees. Court Bailiff: Facilitated movement of calendar activities. Directed and coordinated litigant appearances. Ensure safety and security for judiciary, counsel, and litigants. Provide law enforcement support for hearing masters and judges. Establish order and decorum during hearings, within assigned courts, and throughout the court facility. Provided services in: Domestic Court; Protective Order Court; Juvenile Delinquency Court; Child Support Court.
