Daily Duties at Freeport Mc Moran Copper & Gold:

Responsible for the daily Safety & Health of 104 employees in a research laboratory environment. As a research laboratory, Freeport-McMoran’s Process Technology Center is under constant construction and renovation. Utilizing in-depth experience with 29 CFR 1926, ensure that all construction is planned (HAZOP/HAZID) and performed in accordance with all safety regulations. As a member of the Chemical Hygiene Committee, work directly with the Environmental Team to ensure that all chemicals are properly stored, segregated and handled. Sharing my vast experience in the Safety & Health field, conduct additional training during the required “New Miner” training to ensure that new employees have the necessary tools and knowledge to begin work in a safe manner. Perform Ergonomic Surveys, Health and Safety Surveys and audits, and training during the monthly Safety Meetings at three sites in the Morenci Mine. Responsible for obtaining, maintaining and training of over 1500 Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
