Daily Duties at U.S. Army Reserves:

Assigned as Medical-Surgical Nurse, with additional duty of Battalion Safety Officer. Develop and deliver oral briefings, using Microsoft PowerPoint slides, and consult the Battalion Commander. Present safety concerns, within the companies, to the Battalion Commander and 23 members of his staff. Implement and manage the Battalion Safety Program. Recruit 12 Safety Officers, from each company, to perform safety inspections and advise their Company Commanders on safety issues. Consult other Safety Officers on training and regulations on safety in their Battalions. Integrated safety into all activities conducted in a 44 bed Combat Support Hospital, consisting of about 1,157 Soldiers and Officers. Research topics on safety for the monthly “Battalion Newsletter.” Served as Unit Commander for a Renal Hemodialysis Detachment from 2010 to 2012. Implement a weight loss program for 280 Soldiers, with 83% compliance, for Bravo Company, in 2009.
