Daily Duties at Samaritan Medical Center:

Managed the daily operations of the organization and supervised medical center staff and volunteers. Worked in collaboration with healthcare teams, administrative staff, directors, department chairs, and physicians to develop and execute sound business practices and ensure clear understanding of patient and staff rights and responsibilities. Led and directed staff in the areas of products, services, and problem resolution. Implemented Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs to measure the business operations for financial purposes. Conducted detailed data and trend analysis on customer service standards, reported to senior management on the findings, and implemented corrective actions to ensure cost-effective services and error prevention. Reviewed medical records and billing statements for accuracy, investigated areas of concern, and provided prompt resolution. Was responsible for collection of co-payments and co-management of the Business Office. Maintained positive communication with physicians, service providers, and vendors to enhance the success of the clinics and inpatient facility. Implemented and reviewed policies for outpatient services. Handled staff effectiveness issues and physician requests, as well as billing, coding, insurance, and QA tasks. Acted as the liaison between the physicians, staff, and patients. Managed the Registration Office operations including medical and patient records, patient registration, and billing. Assisted staff with obtaining medical records in the Emergency Department, Patient Registration, and Ambulatory Surgery units.  Streamlined more effective record keeping and other office procedures for the organization, and transformed the Patient Relations department from a reactive department to a proactive department  Worked on Patient Satisfaction, Quality Council, and Ethics committees; served as the Co-chair of Service Excellence and Grievance committees and provided additional education to staff, patients, and patient’s representatives  Developed training programs for registration staff, and trained staff throughout the facility on MediTech Program
