Daily Duties at Major Projects Engineering:
Responsible Engineer for emergency diesel generator (EDG) projects designed to achieve safety guide nine (SG9) margin improvement. The SG9 improvements are frequency and voltage response by installation of automatic voltage regulator (AVR) and governor (GOV) onto EDGs. Worked on the development and revision of calculations, procurement specifications, and the detailed design and supporting documentation for Engineering Change packages involving plant equipment. Digital project work required evaluation of Cyber-Security impacts and application of associated controls. Additional duties included providing in plant engineering support for walkdowns during design development, and resolution of field problems during implementation.
