• Purchased material, supplies or services as needed or requested from stores. • Prepared request for proposals and invitations for bid; interview vendor and determine sources for new suppliers in different locations. • Negotiated price, delivery and service levels with current and potential new vendors. • Managed and trained all purchasing personnel and dispatchers. • Assisted with the preparation of annual budget; monitor status of budget; identify budgetary changes and purchasing patterns; work with area leads and store managers in planning for long and short term capital purchases. • Conducted or supervised internal audits of financial transactions, funds and records. • Assisted in problem solving with purchasing of goods or services with the purchasing staff or the accounting department. • Prepared various forms, reports, correspondence, bid specifications, bid schedules, for vendors and well as internal departments. • Problem solved any accounting issues with the accounting department, issue all Journal Entries at month end. • Issued all corporate purchased orders over 10K.
