Daily Duties at Carlisle Transportation:
P&L responsibility for all aspects of plant operations to include the following responsibilities: • Accountable for successful Health, Safety, Environmental program management at the site by creating continuous improvement. • Implement business models and budgets set through strategic plan. • Ensure the development and formalization of our Lean Problem Solving Culture, utilizing MDI techniques, Daily Gemba walks, Production hour by hour metric reporting, and other formalized lean tools such as demand segmentation for accurate scheduling and inventory management with overall focus on improving the operation per our Values, Vision and Strategy. • Give feedback to the finance team in terms of standard costing and inventories. • Report weekly P&L statements and forecasts, and review & develop plan of actions concerning deviations from budget. • Review overall business plan in terms of cost control. In addition, report on productivity, uptime,man-hours and labor efficiencies, and various other performance based metrics. • Manage, Engage, and Drive ongoing talent management through facilitation and optimization of performance management systems and cascading of KPI’s throughout the organization. • Create a comprehensive plan for preventative maintenance and housekeeping that defines the standard for the operation by utilizing lean principles such as TPM1 and 2, mean time between failure, and others. • Control plant purchasing through requisition process and budget planning. • Coordination of production activities including quality, scheduling, labor management etc. • Manage working capital standards and goals by utilizing demand segmentation model. • Respond to customer needs with plant visits, assisting in customer surveys, and customer complaint resolution in support to Quality Manager • Responds to internal process needs like; SPC or CPK, product deviation, control plans, calibration and measuring techniques, PPAP coordination, final and in-process auditing requirements. • Oversees development of Work Instructions and Standard Operation Procedures for specific areas is accordance with ISO 9001 standards, as well as customer driven standards.
