Daily Duties at Publix Supermarkets:

Oversees employees, including directing, training and counseling personnel. Manages operations of the Pharmacy department, including buying, merchandising and maintaining equipment. Oversees and participates in dispensing prescription medications: measuring, labeling, checking for drug interactions, verifying with physicians and selecting substitutions when necessary. Acts as Pharmacist-In-Charge, point of contact for regulatory, legal, third party insurance companies and audit situations. Monitors pharmacy to ensure complete legal compliance. Monitors department performance and reviews department financials as pharmacy manager. Provides and ensures prompt and courteous member service. Counsels members on proper medication usage. Responds to customer concerns using problem solving skills, tact and discretion.
