Daily Duties at Abercrombie & Fitch:
Hired by chief information officer (CIO) to enhance communications and improve dialogues between IT infrastructure and application teams, accomplishing objective by altering internal protocols involving inclusion of application teams in project scoping sessions and maintaining communication throughout project life cycles. Accountabilities include oversight of two direct reports, capital budgets of as much as $5 million, and operating budgets of $2 million. As internal technology manager, directed IT infrastructure portfolio for company’s home office, transforming project concepts into deliverable initiatives, engaging in scoping and planning sessions with vice president of infrastructure and supporting directors, IT vice presidents, and corporate CIO, assigning staff, and overseeing 38 projects worth $30 million to completion in 2013 alone. Daily, tracked progress of initiatives – comprised of such projects as data center relocation, disaster recovery site upgrade and co-location, disaster recovery plan redesign, data center resiliency, network core expansion, legal Ediscovery, active directory upgrade, google enterprise pilot, quality center upgrade, and Hong Kong and Swiss office voice system upgrade – resolving key issues or escalating to upper management when needed, communicating with all stakeholders via email, by phone, and in meetings.
