Daily Duties at Akg, Inc.:
Mr. Melbourne worked within the Professional Services group at AKG. His Program Management responsibilities included using consistent methodology, tools and techniques, providing continuous feedback on product improvements, and effectively applying methodology and enforcing project standards. His responsibilities also encompassed executing projects in compliance with contract terms & conditions, project plans and proposals. Mr. Melbourne identified and proactively managed expectations, risks, issues, and scope. Additional duties included leading a diverse team (including several subcontractors) developing systems using the Agile development model; Managed day-to-day project operations; Reviewed deliverables prepared by the team before presenting to client; Ensuring project documents were complete, current, and stored appropriately; Tracked and reported team hours and expenses on a weekly basis; Created and executed project work plans and revised as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements; Identifed resources needed and assigned individual responsibilities; Developed technical approaches, project plans, and estimates for proposal efforts; Prepared for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures; Managed project budget; Determined appropriate revenue recognition, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and monitored receivables for project; Followed up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices; Analyzed project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization; Identified business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project; Lead proposal efforts including completing project scoping and LOE assessments.
