Daily Duties at Boy Scouts Of America:
The Boy Scouts of America provides a program for young people that builds desirable qualities of character, trains in responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness. Scouting serves millions of youth through nearly 300 local council service centers across the country. Professional Executives have the responsibility for working with volunteer committees and community leaders to identify, recruit, train, guide, and inspire them to become involved in youth programs The Boy Scouts of America is an organization run by volunteers, however the day to day administration is performed by Professional Scouters. Professional Scouter who Provides direct service to one or more Districts. Carries more advanced councilwide responsibilities. Duties include: management, sales, service, fundraising, administration, public relations. Accountable for District’s operational, financial, and cultural accomplishments. (manages a District of 75 units of Boy Scout and Cub Scout youth totaling 800, manages a District committee of 20 volunteers)
