MRO Supervisor/Buyer II in Allentown, PA 1996 - 2009  Strategic and tactical procurement to secure continuity of supply, quality, inventory, and overall material cost management  Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, Medical grade films, Clean room and Isolator items, Sterilization services  Resins, subcontracted molded parts and assemblies, solvents, rubber components  MRO products/services sourcing, spend analysis, streamlined ordering processes, implemented vendor managed consignment program for production needs  Collaborate with critical suppliers to create partnerships and strategic alliances.  Supported Strategic Purchasing, Regulatory Compliance, and R & D in new product realization, development and change controls projects. Implemented a database for Material Characterization Information for all raw materials and FGs.  Planning based on long term forecasts and SAP ERP; aligned with overall corporate and operational financial KPIs.  Strategic Supply Chain Planning for on time implementation of projects, qualifications, and validations  Supervised Admin Assistants for operational tasks and buying practices, mentored and trained new SAP users  Back up for the Materials Management Director which covered Purchasing, Scheduling, and Warehouse.  Trained and implemented basic lean concept; process mapping, 6S, consignment programs, VMI, milk runs, PDCA. Sponsored and participated in kaizens and katas performing Value Stream Mapping for continuous improvement.  Compliance team member certified to participate in Internal, External and Supplier Audits under FDA, cGMP, and ISO standards.
