Daily Duties at Golden Living:
Managed staff of four Contract Coordinators. Analyzed business transactions and advised senior management on their business and legal feasibility. Analyzed proposed contractual relationships for legal compliance with Stark Laws, Anti-kickback Statute, HIPAA, and federal and state regulations. Negotiated, drafted, and approved physician agreements, commercial transactions and operations agreements. Provided legal and business counsel to pharmacy leadership in development of formularies for hospice, post-acute and geriatric populations. Participated in evaluation and oversight of clinical trials of new drugs considered for formularies. Monitored legal matters sent to outside counsel, financial terms of contracts, leases, and physician transactions. Monitored contract implementation and performance to ensure compliance with negotiated terms. Created and maintained centralized repository for corporation’s contracts. Designed and implemented credentialing process for all physicians employed or contracted by corporation.
