1. Responsible for strategic and operational collaboration with medical staff, administration, and department leaders to identify, analyze, and trend clinical quality and safety issues. Collaborate to identify and implement successful solutions. 2. Interpret accreditation and regulatory standards. Facilitates and guides continuous accreditation compliance, including the education and training associated with compliance and new standards. 3. Participate with and support hospital based teams, committees, task forces, and other groups to achieve measured, clinical excellence of objectives by coordinating and supporting their efforts. 4. Lead the reduction of accidental injuries and medical errors through the identification, follow up, and successful correction of system and personnel performance variation. 5. Lead multidisciplinary efforts utilizing standardized PI tools, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) with the objective of addressing significant issues to measurably improve processes and increase the likelihood of desired outcomes. 6. Manage departments efficiently within the operational budget. Recruit and guide content expert staff by continuously improving the service quality of their roles and enabling them to meet their potential within the scope of their responsibilities. 6.Serve as preceptor/mentor for registered nurses pursuing post-graduate degrees.
