Daily Duties at Osteoscreen:

Protein purification experience: • Conducted extensive HPLC/FPLC/AKTA chromatographic separation, quantification and purification of proteins, peptides, method development and validation. • Chromatography separation using, ion, affinity, size exclusion, IC, AC, SE, and GC-MS, UV-Vis. Large and small scale protein purification of growth factors and growth factors binding protein. • Performed extensive analytical work in HPLC, UV-Vis, and GC-MS/MS in support of research work done by the medicinal chemistry group. • Purified numerous proteins to homogeneity from crude extracts using conventional chromatography methods (size exclusion, ion exchange, hydrophobic interaction, affinity chromatography) by FPLC. • Purified milligram to gram quantities of recombinant expressed proteins • Provided protein chemistry support to other departments within the company Biochemistry: • Quantitative and fold change PCR gene expression studies, Western Blot, ELISA, Cell cloning, and multiple molecular biology techniques. • Performed drug discovery, chemical library screening, cell-based assay, reporter assay, cell cloning, and pathway studies interpretation.
