Daily Duties at Stewart Title Guaranty Company:
• Maintain and close monthly financial statements of 13 divisions covering 44 accounting units and $35.4 million in annual revenue. • Provide quarterly analytics for each company’s balance sheet and income statement that covers year-to-date, current quarter/last quarter, and current quarter/last year quarter variances. • File and submit payments for state sales and use tax. • Work directly with Division Presidents to establish expense trends, set up accruals and prepaid expenses, and answer questions related to their financials. • Reconcile bank statements, research and clear outstanding items. • Post journal entries and run cost allocations. • Maintain fixed asset and lease schedules
