• Supervised and trained a staff of 16 including Research Associates and Research Specialists o Develop and manage staff goals; perform quarterly reviews o Provide mentorship through departmental cross training and career development opportunities o Assign work across different shifts (business hours, swing, and graveyard) to suit client and company needs • Participated in departmental budget planning and review • Worked directly with our client service department; o Client relations (contracts) and client audits o Study design o Study integrity o Study estimates process for small animal studies (PK, TK, PD, tumor models, etc) • Experienced with FDA, USDA and AALAC site audits and record keeping • Supervised/monitored in-life animal (GLP and non-GLP) studies through interactions with clients, study monitors, study directors and other departments (Test Article, Clinical Pathology, Business Development, Project Management) • Experienced and trained others on the use of Xybion software (record keeping across departments) • Able to perform and train a variety of dosing and blood draw procedures on rodents and rabbits • Wrote and edited SOPs; deviation reports; root cause analysis • Attended yearly “Laboratory to Leadership” courses and in house training • AALAS LAT certification
