Review customer requirements and generate analysis plan and budget based on customer technical specifications and schedule requirements. Generate finite element models (FEMAP), using CAD design geometry, for quasi-static, dynamic, vibro-acoustic and dimensional stability analysis of space based structures following customer's specifications. Perform FEM (NASTRAN) and hand calculation strength and stiffness analysis of flight hardware under customer defined design and test environments. Perform strength and stiffness analysis of test / manufacturing tooling. Interact with design group to produce lightweight cost efficient manufacturing friendly structures that meet customer requirements. Coordinate dimensional stability analysis with thermal analysis contractors to develop predictions of on orbit RF or optical alignment performance over the lifetime of the satellite. Generate design review and test readiness review documents for customer evaluation and interface with customer engineering to resolve all technical issues related to the structural performance of the hardware. Support manufacturing engineering during hardware fabrication to address any quality issues or manufacturing anomalies that may affect structural performance of the hardware. Support dynamic, vibro-acoustic and static qualification testing of hardware by evaluating and comparing test data to pre-test analytical predictions. Perform model correlation studies using static or dynamic test data and provide customer correlated finite element model for use in system level analysis.
