Daily Duties at Nassau County Dept. Of Social Services:
Work closely with the Commissioner to ensure effective operation of the agency on a daily basis. Administer and implement directives from the Commissioner’s office, assume executive responsibilities in the Commissioner’s absence. Assigned to act as the Department’s representative before the County Executive and County Legislature. Primary liaison to New York State agencies including Department of Health (DOH), Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA), and the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS. )Directly responsible for supervision and management of the following areas: Benefits Issuance Control, Central Records, Child Support, Data Entry, Human Resources, Imaging, Information Technology, Legal, Office Services, and Staff Development
